ARCTANGENT 2026 SITE STEWARD APPLICATION FORM
Steward Required On-Site Dates: Tues 18th - Sun 23rd August 2026


Every festival requires stewards to assist with the running of the site before, during, and after a festival. Steward roles at ArcTanGent are voluntary.

TO STEWARD AT ARCTANGENT YOU MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OVER AT THE TIME OF THE FESTIVAL AND...

• Be onsite from 7pm on Tuesday 18th August and be available until 2pm on Sunday 23rd August 2026.
• We ask you to be available until this time on the Sunday, as you may be rostered on to the Sunday morning shift. Once you have completed your shift and signed out, you may leave.
• Have a friendly and helpful manner, be able to work in a team with new people including other volunteers, staff, and have a good work ethic.
• Have an appropriate level of health and fitness to undertake a variety of tasks, which may include standing for long periods in variable weather conditions*.
• Understand that you represent the festival while you are volunteering.
• Have the Right to Work & Volunteer in the UK.**
• Pay a fully refundable deposit of £50 when completing this form in order to secure your position.***

**You are currently allowed to volunteer in the UK if you are from an EU member country or countries in the European Economic Area (EEA). People from outside the EEA must have a visa to work or study in the UK that must also allow ‘unpaid work’ or volunteering.
*** Your deposit will be released back to you so long as you have signed in before the briefing, signed in before your shift, and signed out at the end of your shift. The deposit can take up to 10 business days to reach your account once released.

STEWARDING REQUIREMENTS
• You are required to steward for 1x 8 hour shift.
• You are required to wear a hi-vis vest on duty. This will be provided to you.
• You need to sign in 15 minutes prior to your shift, and sign out after you have been relieved. Failure to do so may result in your deposit not being returned.
• Do not leave your stewarding location until relieved by another steward, or instructed by your supervisor.
• You must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol when on shift. If you are found to be intoxicated you will be dismissed and required to pay the price of a festival ticket, which your deposit will contribute towards, in order to stay on site.
• If, for any reason, you are unable to attend your shift you should inform the Volunteer Manager immediately.

TASKS YOU MAY BE ASSIGNED
• Assisting the public.
• Giving directions.
• Checking tickets, passes, and wristbands.
• Directing traffic.
• Assisting traders, contractors, artists etc. with onsite queries.
• Helping with lost children.
• Other tasks not listed here based on festival requirements.

ENSURE YOU ARE ALWAYS...
• Aware of health and safety processes.
• Aware of fire and evacuation procedures.
• Reporting any injuries to the first aid team.
• Reporting any potential security issues to the security team.

ARRIVAL ON SITE

Please arrive on Tuesday 18th August between 13:00 and 19:00.

Please sign in before setting up. You will be sent arriving instructions one week before you are due on-site.

VOLUNTEER BRIEFING

A briefing will take place on Tuesday 18th August at 20:00. Please make sure you arrive before then. The briefing will inform you of everything you need to know about the festival and your duties as a steward. Part of the briefing will include a walk around the festival site.

The briefing ensures that ArcTanGent fulfils it's licence to operate. Anyone who misses the briefing may not be able to steward and therefore will not be able to enter the festival. If you are under the influence of alcohol you will be dismissed from the briefing and will not be able to steward.
 
UNIFORM

Stewards do not have a uniform but will be required to wear a hi-vis vest, which you collect when reporting for your shift and return when you finish your shift.

Please ensure you dress appropriately for the weather. Not all stewarding posts will have shelter, so consider wet-weather gear for the rain, sturdy footwear, and sunscreen and hats for the sunshine. Open toed shoes will not be allowed on-shift.

RULES

As stewards you are bound by the same rules as those who have bought a ticket to attend the festival.

BY SUBMITTING THIS FORM YOU AGREE TO ALL OF THE ABOVE. Once you have paid your deposit please take that as confirmation that you are on the stewarding team!

You will receive an email closer to the festival with all the details required to undertake your stewarding role.

Please note this cannot be guaranteed, but we will try our hardest to give you this day off!
Please indicate if you would be willing to work a second shift (either the Wednesday morning, or the Sunday) in exchange for a piece ATG merchandise (T-shirt or similar monetary value)
If you select this option, you will be assigned a shift on the day you select (either Wednesday or Sunday) plus another shift on the Thursday, Friday or Saturday. We will still try and avoid rostering you on to the day you selected to not work!

This is unlikely to be required; if you are selected you will be notified well in advance.
How will you be travelling to the event?
Please note there is limited spaces for live-in vehicles (campervans, motorhomes etc.). No caravans.
